All right folks! NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover is doing its thing! Yesterday, after landing on Mars (Red Planet), NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover sent back images of the Red Planet’s terrain.

Now, I know that we have all had seen images, from that one movie The Martian, of the Red Planet’s terrain.

But, the images NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover took are of the real Red Planet’s terrain and the images are taken from an area where the rover will be collecting samples in order to help scientists determine if there is any sign of microbial life.

Microbial life is important because the microbes are where more complex life, like us, developed from. Therefore, if microbial life, along with some other good stuff like water and a good place to breath, are found then the mission to send humans, who have in-depth scientific knowledge, to Mars can begin sooner rather than later.

The Mars 2020 Perseverance mission is part of NASA’s much bigger Moon to Mars mission to send human beings, who have in-depth scientific knowledge, to Mars so that they can walk around and learn more about the planet.

Oh yeah, before I forget, NASA is using the Artemis missions to the moon, which are part of the Moon to Mars mission, in order to better prepare the science folks for their walk around Mars.

The hope is that the science folks will be prepared enough to the point that they won’t end up like the dude on The Martian who got caught up in a storm that caused him to be left behind with only his mind and God helping him to survive.
